Igor Montrell missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 33 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ezequiel Benino right hand side. After a rather tough play, Azulgranas F.C's Ulises Baumar got a free kick in the 35th minute. Chesterfield's Dráuzio Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Anier Martxot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chesterfield's goalkeeper Rodrigo Marino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ezequiel Benino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Mon, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the match was over Chesterfield could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Azulgranas F.C throughout the match.
