The supporters of Ave Fenix booed when Deportivo Chivilcoy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Theodore didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes Deportivo Chivilcoy got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Pirro. In the 28th minute of the match Baldomiro Dominix shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulino Sindo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Lucio Etxahun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 37th minute Niceto Theodore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Florinio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match Deportivo Chivilcoy got a corner. Ave Fenix's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Casimiro Pirro ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Chivilcoy's goalkeeper Paulino Sindo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Deportivo Chivilcoy's Paulino Sindo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Chivilcoy from getting a goal against them. If Lucio Etxahun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Lucio Etxahun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paulino Sindo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolando Endira in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Florinio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Rolando Endira came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Deportivo Chivilcoy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Endira couldn't finish the play. Rolando Endira hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the match, Deportivo Chivilcoy's Julio Garaile sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Florinio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 94 played minutes Ave Fenix got a freekick which was hit by Javier Chabier. Marcelo Florinio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Endira, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
