Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cornelio Dabi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Lucio Etxahun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Modesto Abeijon. Horcones's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucio Etxahun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Lucio Etxahun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Abeijon having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Cipriano Garin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ave Fenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Garin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Modesto Abeijon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Horcones's Leonides Rosio got a free kick in the 16th minute. Lucio Etxahun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Abeijon having to interfere. Lucio Etxahun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Ave Fenix's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Dabi came free, but Marcelo Florinio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucio Etxahun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Modesto Abeijon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Ramon Bernaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cipriano Garin got free with Modesto Abeijon in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Ave Fenix's zone, Felipe Duardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Florinio came out of the goal and Felipe Duardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horcones's Modesto Abeijon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Salvadore in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucio Etxahun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Modesto Abeijon came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Ave Fenix's Silvestre Salvadore. But to his dismay, Silvestre Salvadore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Modesto Abeijon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Garin in the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Israel Urtsin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cornelio Dabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes, Felipe Duardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horcones and the Ave Fenix players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cipriano Garin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Modesto Abeijon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. If Lucio Etxahun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lucio Etxahun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Horcones's Marcelo Florinio threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cornelio Dabi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Israel Urtsin kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Leonides Rosio kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramon Bernaldo got free with Marcelo Florinio in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th minute, Felipe Duardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramon Bernaldo charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon Bernaldo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Horcones's Ramon Bernaldo got a free kick in the 90th minute. Lucio Etxahun kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cornelio Dabi in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Florinio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ave Fenix had played much better football throughout.
