In the 4th minute of the match Ave Fenix got a corner. Gran Torino's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Baldomiro Dominix ran over to the corner to take the kick. 6 minutes into the game, Baldomiro Dominix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ave Fenix's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gran Torino the free kick. Raimundo Nazario struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Marcelo Florinio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gran Torino. In the 11th minute Lucio Etxahun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Octavio Leheren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcelo Florinio. Octavio Leheren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Lucio Etxahun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raimundo Nazario's late challenge caught a Ave Fenix's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raimundo Nazario helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gran Torino getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Raimundo Nazario hit a great ball. If Silvestre Salvadore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gran Torino's attentive Ciro Peter managed to snatch the ball when Baldomiro Dominix made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. Silvestre Salvadore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gran Torino's Ciro Peter got a free kick in the 34th minute. A hard shot 37 in the game by Octavio Leheren from a close distance when the talented Marcelo Florinio managed to make a qualified save. Ave Fenix's players were relieved. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Octavio Leheren sped through Ave Fenix's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcelo Florinio. In the 41st minute of the match, Raimundo Nazario tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcelo Florinio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Zeledon Baraquiel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ave Fenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Baraquiel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 尹瑜皓 kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucio Etxahun was the one to do the kick off. Gran Torino's Artemio Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Gran Torino from getting a goal against them. Baldomiro Dominix was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Zeledon Baraquiel fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ave Fenix's protests and gave Zeledon Baraquiel a yellow card for diving instead. Marcelo Florinio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Leheren in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Nazario in the 69th minute of play forced Ave Fenix's goalkeeper Marcelo Florinio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Octavio Leheren put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marcelo Florinio. After having played for 76 minutes, Elvio Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ave Fenix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvio Cortez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximino Jobo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Octavio Leheren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Florinio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Octavio Leheren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ave Fenix's Marcelo Florinio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 86 played minutes Gran Torino got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Steven. 86 minutes into the match, Lucio Etxahun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Artemio Barros, 3-1. In the 89th minute, one of Ave Fenix:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ave Fenix. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gran Torino fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ave Fenix had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
