The crowd rose to their feet as River Plate's Baltasar Estebe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anier Mendebal. That made the score 2-0 after 12 minutes of play. With an all-out effort, River Plate's Anier Mendebal threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Casimiro Roano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Baltasar Estebe sped through Alpes FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anier Mendebal. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Baltasar Estebe took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Anier Mendebal to make any attempt to save it. 24 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Fidensio came free, but Roberto Sedeni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Remigio Clis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Sedeni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Alpes FC defense, Casimiro Roano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anier Mendebal. The Alpes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anier Mendebal should have stopped the shot. Eliseo Sarracino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Anier Mendebal made a huge save. The Alpes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anier Mendebal should have stopped the shot. Anier Mendebal was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Eliseo Sarracino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eliseo Sarracino really showed his touch with that goal: 7-0. A collision led to Alpes FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Roque Natal hit a great ball. Remigio Conrao succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 8-0 in the 47th playminute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baltasar Estebe was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, River Plate's Eliseo Sarracino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anier Mendebal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. 57 minutes into the match, Casimiro Roano notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Alpes FC's Anier Mendebal. Anier Mendebal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anier Mendebal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Conrao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes of play, River Plate's Serafino Rosario made it 11-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anier Mendebal was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th match minute, Alpes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Nafarroa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Roano in the 94th minute of play forced Alpes FC's goalkeeper Anier Mendebal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, River Plate's Remigio Conrao sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anier Mendebal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. River Plate had played much better football throughout.
