Sergio Ramone had great luck who in the 7thth minute grab hold of the ball when Virgilio Manny from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Carter Cardella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Oinaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bert Moquin fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leones Libertarios's protests and gave Bert Moquin a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Leones Libertarios got a freekick which was hit by Bert Moquin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Presebal in the 13th minute of play forced Leones Libertarios's goalkeeper Carter Cardella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Segundo Oinaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 40 minutes, Virgilio Manny managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leones Libertarios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgilio Manny was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Virgilio Manny got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Armando Mingo kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Leones Libertarios's Carter Cardella proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Leones Libertarios from getting a goal against them. 60 minutes into the match, Leones Libertarios's Miguel Sariego sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sergio Ramone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Virgilio Manny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Christian Rubio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carter Cardella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Presebal, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Virgilio Manny in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sergio Ramone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Leones Libertarios's Virgilio Manny in 93 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Sergio Ramone guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. There was no doubt that Leones Libertarios were the better team. Leones Libertarios's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
