Spectators: 7168 (Terracing: 5668, Seating: 1485, VIP seats: 15) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gaudencio Pelayo took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaudencio Pelayo got free with Rodolfo Romero in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodolfo Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ildefonso Distiratsu in the 4th minute of the match. Gaudencio Pelayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Prospero Ovando came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Murciélagos FC's Igor Noe. But to his dismay, Igor Noe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Gaudencio Pelayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 13 minutes into the match, Murciélagos FC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Romero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaudencio Pelayo. In the 22nd minute, Eduardo Frutos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Norberto Abecia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Prospero Ovando was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 26 played minutes Murciélagos FC got a freekick which was hit by Igor Noe. A hard shot by Fulgencio Abaurre from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Rodolfo Romero's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Gaudencio Pelayos short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Rodolfo Romero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Murciélagos FC's Rodolfo Romero got control of the ball when Gaudencio Pelayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Prospero Ovando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yaser Camcıoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute of the match, Gaudencio Pelayo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rodolfo Romero was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 40th play minute Eduardo Frutos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rodolfo Romero. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Gaudencio Pelayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. La France's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaudencio Pelayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaudencio Pelayo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Rodolfo Romero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Igor Noe made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Gaudencio Pelayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaudencio Pelayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rodolfo Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Pelayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Hilario Paublo's late challenge caught a La France's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hilario Paublo helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Murciélagos FC got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Paublo. In the 69thth minute of the game Gaudencio Pelayo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Murciélagos FC's Rodolfo Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. La France were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Murciélagos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Justino Ferrando took the corner. The corner ended in Justino Ferrando almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Murciélagos FC's Rodolfo Romero did a great save. 72 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Arotza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Prospero Ovando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rodolfo Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Pelayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Murciélagos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Murciélagos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
