An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Lore in the 76th minute of play forced Rio de La Plata FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Cordario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Elvio Tino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rio de La Plata FC made a substitution. Olympique de Regina walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
