But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaias Diegotxe couldn't finish the play. In the 9th minute, Isaias Diegotxe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gianluigi Donnarumma was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of EDEPA booed when Hilario FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Laurentzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gianluigi Donnarumma dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 43 minutes into the match, Isaias Diegotxe notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Hilario FC's Gianluigi Donnarumma. Gianluigi Donnarumma was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Garci in the 48th minute of play forced Hilario FC's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelino Formerio made a kick off. Gianluigi Donnarumma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Diegotxe in the 78th minute of play. If Edmund Kempka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute Marcelino Formerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Sal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, EDEPA's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Formerio came free, but Baldomero Sal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hilario FC's Gianluigi Donnarumma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Ipar in the 93rd minute of play. After 94 played minutes Hilario FC got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Indar.
