An unexpectedly hard shot by Helger Esken in the 14th minute of play forced Chelco FC's goalkeeper Evrosi Nalbantov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gervasio Chorche charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gervasio Chorche the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Chelco FC's Ismael Abastas got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, LGante's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Abastas came free, but Donatas Galvelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. LGante's Donatas Galvelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Firman in the 30th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ismael Abastas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donatas Galvelis was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 35 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Nisio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chelco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LGante the free kick. After having played for 35 minutes, Helger Esken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LGante's supporters crossed their fingers, but Helger Esken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nemesio Firman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustino Millan took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donatas Galvelis. Donatas Galvelis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 47 played minutes Chelco FC got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Bartoli. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Faustino Millan to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, LGante's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Millan came free, but Donatas Galvelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 played minutes LGante got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Txerran. LGante's Donatas Galvelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Firman in the 76th minute of play. When Evelio Txerran fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LGante's protests and gave Evelio Txerran a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chelco FC booed when LGante was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Txerran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donatas Galvelis made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Ismael Abastas sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Chelco FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than LGante.
