A well placed Frank Farrell short distance shot in the 5th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. In the 7th minute, Michaël Karembeu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 10 minutes of play, Pirané's Doru Ştiubei made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evrosi Nalbantov was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 18 in the game by Doru Ştiubei from a close distance when the talented Evrosi Nalbantov managed to make a qualified save. Chelco FC's players were relieved. Doru Ştiubeis short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Evrosi Nalbantov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Frank Farrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Evrosi Nalbantov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Frank Farrell came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Pirané fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Farrell couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Chelco FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ismael Abastas hit a great ball. Frank Farrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evrosi Nalbantov having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Pirané's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Abastas came free, but Gualterio Erramun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evrosi Nalbantov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Farrell in the 33rd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Chelco FC's goalkeeper Evrosi Nalbantov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Farrell. Sebastian Rybæk hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Pirané's Doru Ştiubei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evrosi Nalbantov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 45th minute, Ezequiel Nisio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Casimiro Bartoli fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelco FC's protests and gave Casimiro Bartoli a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Chelco FC got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Bartoli. The supporters of Pirané booed when Chelco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Bartoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Faustino Millan to strike the kick off in the second half. Frank Farrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evrosi Nalbantov having to interfere. Doru Ştiubei took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evrosi Nalbantov. Evrosi Nalbantov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. When Pirané's Frank Farrell in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chelco FC's goalie prevented a goal. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chelco FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aggelos Tsaliagos was slow to take the kick. During this time Pirané's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Gualterio Pierres heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The supporters of Chelco FC booed when Pirané was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michaël Karembeu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faustino Millan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 66th minute. Chelco FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 67 minutes into the match, Michaël Karembeu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evrosi Nalbantov. Chelco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michaël Karembeu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Frank Farrell scored 7-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evrosi Nalbantov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Evrosi Nalbantov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doru Ştiubei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Chelco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Farrell came free, but Evrosi Nalbantov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evrosi Nalbantov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doru Ştiubei's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Farrell in the 88th minute of play forced Chelco FC's goalkeeper Evrosi Nalbantov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Aggelos Tsaliagos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evrosi Nalbantov was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0.
