The crowd rose to their feet as Roque Roa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thijs Spanjaard. That made the score 1-2 in the 16 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Trinche FC's Segundo Perpinya got a free kick in the 20th minute. Thijs Spanjaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onyewuchi Obikwelu in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, MILTON f.c.'s Juan Gorbea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thijs Spanjaard. Thijs Spanjaard yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Thijs Spanjaard successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to MILTON f.c. getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Samuel Moreno hit a great ball. 48 minutes in the game, Onyewuchi Obikwelu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Thijs Spanjaard having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Onyewuchi Obikwelu to make the kick off. Thijs Spanjaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Gorbea in the 53rd minute of play. Santiago Maidana charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santiago Maidana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 played minutes MILTON f.c. got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Maidana. Thijs Spanjaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Gorbea in the 59th minute of play. After 60 minutes Trinche FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roque Roa who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Roque Roa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Trinche FC's Thijs Spanjaard did a great save. The supporters of Trinche FC booed when MILTON f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Kiewra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Onyewuchi Obikwelu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MILTON f.c.'s Luisito Osmundo was substituted for Leonel Tiso. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Alvaro Michael managed to get in a good position for a shot. MILTON f.c.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alvaro Michael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thijs Spanjaard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Alvaro Michael's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thijs Spanjaard was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. When Fabian Dominix fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trinche FC's protests and gave Fabian Dominix a yellow card for diving instead. Fabian Dominix kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Trinche FC's zone, Alvaro Michael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thijs Spanjaard came out of the goal and Alvaro Michael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Alvaro Michael managed to get in a good position for a shot. MILTON f.c.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alvaro Michael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thijs Spanjaard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 83 played minutes Trinche FC got a freekick which was hit by Segundo Perpinya. Alvaro Michael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Thijs Spanjaard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the game, MILTON f.c.'s Alvaro Michael nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thijs Spanjaard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. MILTON f.c.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
