After 3 minutes, Joel Galtero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL and the QUITO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Christian Unax came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the QUITO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Unax couldn't finish the play. Rogelio Luzea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ceferino Arnau went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceferino Arnau in the 11th minute of play forced LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL's goalkeeper Rogelio Luzea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 minutes, Arnaldo Osorio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL and the QUITO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Arnaldo Osorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ceferino Arnau took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogelio Luzea. Rogelio Luzea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Rogelio Luzea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Arnau in the 18th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Faustino Ciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 26 played minutes QUITO FC got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Lastur. If Ceferino Arnau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. QUITO FC's Anacleto Maiorga got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the game, Faustino Ciano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave QUITO FC the free kick. In the 36th match minute, LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Ciano to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Isidro Rodriguez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domingo Perfecto was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. 41 minutes into the match, LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Arnau came free, but Rogelio Luzea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. QUITO FC's Ceferino Arnau was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 43rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 3-1 became the score in the 47th minute when Isidro Rodriguez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

Domingo Perfecto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidro Rodriguez in the 57th minute. In the 65th minute Ceferino Arnau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Luzea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 minutes LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Christian Unax who took care of the corner kick. When Jesus Sein fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored QUITO FC's protests and gave Jesus Sein a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, QUITO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Sein to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match, Isidro Rodriguez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Domingo Perfecto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL's Rogelio Luzea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Arnau in the 82nd minute of play. If Gerardo Mendebal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Faustino Ciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to QUITO FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Virgilio Abaurre hit a great ball. Domingo Perfecto acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 92nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Guaberto Bortzaioriz. Isidro Rodriguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingo Perfecto having to interfere. QUITO FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
