In the 13th minute, Eugenio Lekubegi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matias Bazkoare was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 19th minute Arnaldo Osorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Bazkoare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Ciano in the 20th minute of play forced ClubAtléticoIndependiente's goalkeeper Matias Bazkoare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Isidro Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Donzel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Matias Bazkoare was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to ClubAtléticoIndependiente getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Reynaldo Cesario hit a great ball. After 29 played minutes, LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL's Faustino Ciano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Matias Bazkoare came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL reached it. In the 30th minute, Osvaldo Donzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Isidro Rodriguez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matias Bazkoare. ClubAtléticoIndependiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidro Rodriguez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Matias Bazkoare stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidro Rodriguez's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Matias Bazkoare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Ciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Bazkoare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Rodriguez in the 46th minute of play. Faustino Ciano might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matias Bazkoare. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faustino Ciano ran back to his position shaking his head.

ClubAtléticoIndependiente's Matias Bazkoare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Donzel in the 53rd minute of play. ClubAtléticoIndependiente's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Faustino Ciano scored to the left of an out of position Matias Bazkoare, making the score, 0-4. Matias Bazkoare was a little too slow when Isidro Rodriguez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 72nd minute, Isidro Rodriguez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. A collision led to ClubAtléticoIndependiente getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Reynaldo Cesario hit a great ball. In the 84th minute of the match, Osvaldo Donzel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matias Bazkoare saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Matias Bazkoare came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL's Isidro Rodriguez. But to his dismay, Isidro Rodriguez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Matias Bazkoare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Osorio in the 90th minute of the match. Matias Bazkoare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Ciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Osvaldo Donzel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Matias Bazkoare. The goal made the score 0-8. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Osorio got free with Matias Bazkoare in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL played a much better game than ClubAtléticoIndependiente and deserved their victory. The ClubAtléticoIndependiente players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
