Paulino Urki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pastor Noriega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernabe Naldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Higinio Ibañez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Pastor Noriega made a huge save. If Higinio Ibañez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pastor Noriega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernabe Naldo in the 23rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Higinio Ibañez got free with Pastor Noriega in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ildefonso Txeru hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Bernabe Naldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pastor Noriega having to interfere. 36 minutes in the game, Bernabe Naldo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pastor Noriega having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pastor Quiroga in the 41st managed to get into a good position. Paulino Urki came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Escalada City FC's Pastor Quiroga. But to his dismay, Pastor Quiroga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pastor Quiroga to strike the kick off in the second half. Celestino Ponce's late challenge caught a neXt Gaming's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celestino Ponce helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th match minute, Escalada City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Ponce to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute Higinio Ibañez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pastor Noriega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Escalada City FC's Pastor Quiroga got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pastor Noriega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pastor Quiroga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Higinio Ibañez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. neXt Gaming's supporters crossed their fingers, but Higinio Ibañez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Escalada City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Naldo came free, but Pastor Noriega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the neXt Gaming defense, Celestino Ponce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulino Urki. The neXt Gaming fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulino Urki should have stopped the shot. 78 minutes into the game, Bernabe Naldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. neXt Gaming's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escalada City FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, neXt Gaming's Bernabe Naldo got a free kick in the 78th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Marty Norton managed to get in a good position for a shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ildefonso Txeru during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paulino Urki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pastor Quiroga's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The Escalada City FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Escalada City FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
