Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rolando Sidro to make the kick off. Ismael Poncio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Columbo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Gaudencio Gervaso had in the 67thth minute some difficulties stopping Jonathan Peyo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ismael Poncio made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Nestor Hug sent off a good shot on target. Ismael Poncio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Artizar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Ruisko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ismael Poncio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
