After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Bernabe Jenaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unión de Santa Fe's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernabe Jenaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Johnsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ladislao Refugio fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gardey FC's protests and gave Ladislao Refugio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gardey FC's Ladislao Refugio got a free kick in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Gardey FC defense, Valentin Elodio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Johnsson. The Gardey FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Johnsson should have stopped the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Silvio Poncio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Johnsson, 2-0. In the 23rd minute, Bernabe Jenaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodrigo Tabor was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 27 minutes into the match. After 28 played minutes Gardey FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Tabor. Murat Tunçhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Rumaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gardey FC's zone, Maximiliano Olivar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Johnsson came out of the goal and Maximiliano Olivar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gardey FC's David Johnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Poncio in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernabe Jenaro to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Olivar in the 52nd minute of play forced Gardey FC's goalkeeper David Johnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Gardey FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Jenaro came free, but David Johnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murat Tunçhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Refugio in the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Gardey FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Eugenio Rumaldo hit a great ball. David Johnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Olivar in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Gardey FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Jakue came free, but David Johnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Johnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Jenaro in the 85th minute of play. Gardey FC's David Johnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Jenaro in the 88th minute of play. Maximiliano Olivar scored 4-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Johnsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 94 minutes, Silvio Poncio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unión de Santa Fe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvio Poncio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Unión de Santa Fe fully deserved thier win.
