When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Epifanio Lidon sped through area 51's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Petros Maniatis. With his leg Petros Maniatis managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when The Godfathers F.C.'s Pascual Orlo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 8 minutes into the match, area 51's goalkeeper Petros Maniatis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baldomiro Estefan. The Godfathers F.C.'s Benji Price played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Etxepare in the 10th minute of play. Tota Lugano hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, area 51's Delmar Toli got a free kick in the 17th minute. Gaudencio Etxepare charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaudencio Etxepare the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to area 51 getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gaudencio Etxepare hit a great ball. Severino Porto hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind area 51's goalkeeper Petros Maniatis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to area 51 getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Delmar Toli hit a great ball. Petros Maniatis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baldomiro Estefan went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Epifanio Lidon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petros Maniatis having to make a save. Baldomiro Estefan struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Petros Maniatis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Godfathers F.C.. area 51's Petros Maniatis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save area 51 from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Benji Price successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Baldomiro Estefan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salvador Gilen's late challenge caught a The Godfathers F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Gilen helped the player get up and apologised. Epifanio Lidon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petros Maniatis having to make a save. 73 minutes into the game, Iker Chaime was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Godfathers F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave area 51 the free kick. The supporters of area 51 booed when The Godfathers F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Chaime didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Lidon in the 76th minute of play forced area 51's goalkeeper Petros Maniatis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baldomiro Estefan in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petros Maniatis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baldomiro Estefan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petros Maniatis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. After some careless play in the area 51 defense, Leonardo Lop kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petros Maniatis. The area 51 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petros Maniatis should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Orlo in the 91st minute of play forced area 51's goalkeeper Petros Maniatis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Epifanio Lidon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Godfathers F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
