After a rather tough play, Rivadavia's Nicolas Policarpio got a free kick in the 6th minute. Andalgalá's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Leonel Aritza scored to the left of an out of position Reynaldo Guifre, making the score, 1-0. After 22 played minutes Rivadavia got a freekick which was hit by Constantino Firman. 25 minutes into the match, Andalgalá's goalkeeper Reynaldo Guifre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramon Marz. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benicio Dolfo to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Rivadavia getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Agustin Precioso hit a great ball. Ramon Marz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Nicolas Policarpio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramon Marz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ramon Marz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Ruy charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Ruy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
