Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alberto Argider kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Rivadavia's Fernando Katia got a free kick in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Rivadavia's goalkeeper Horacio Eleazar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jesus Edwardo. The supporters of SAN MARTIN DE IRIARTE booed when Rivadavia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Policarpio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, SAN MARTIN DE IRIARTE's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Ponce came free, but Arnaldo Janpier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Alonzo Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Janpier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alonzo Ponce's late challenge caught a SAN MARTIN DE IRIARTE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

SAN MARTIN DE IRIARTE's Arnaldo Janpier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Ponce in the 52nd minute of play. When Alberto Bidun fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SAN MARTIN DE IRIARTE's protests and gave Alberto Bidun a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SAN MARTIN DE IRIARTE getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. If Alberto Argider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Aritza kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Alonzo Ponce could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Arnaldo Janpier made a huge save. A hard shot 86 in the game by Alonzo Ponce from a close distance when the talented Arnaldo Janpier managed to make a qualified save. SAN MARTIN DE IRIARTE's players were relieved. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rivadavia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
