Bras Munarriz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Santirso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristiano Santirso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd minute, Cristiano Santirso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of The Arquitect booed when Zapla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Mincho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bras Munarriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Santirso, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Cristobal Mincho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Santirso in the 33rd minute of play forced Zapla's goalkeeper Bras Munarriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Anibal Oalo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zapla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Arquitect the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xu Xi Cheng to make the kick off. Bruno Etxahun kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Cristiano Santirso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Bras Munarriz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Cristiano Santirso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bruno Etxahun's late challenge caught a Zapla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Etxahun helped the player get up and apologised. After 96 played minutes The Arquitect got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Etxahun.
