Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Kiliz in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fermin Hulberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 6th minute Estrella Austral were awarded a corner. Severino Kiliz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of C.A. Quilmes's goalie and right to Samuel Cebrian. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. C.A. Quilmes's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Sayveon in the 9th minute of play forced Estrella Austral's goalkeeper Rownun McWill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Casimiro Matthew cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fermin Hulberto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the C.A. Quilmes defense, Casimiro Matthew kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fermin Hulberto. The C.A. Quilmes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fermin Hulberto should have stopped the shot. Fermin Hulberto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Casimiro Matthew's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After 27 minutes of play, Estrella Austral's Severino Kiliz made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fermin Hulberto was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of C.A. Quilmes booed when Estrella Austral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Palban didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Severino Kiliz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrella Austral's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Kiliz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fermin Hulberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. C.A. Quilmes's Fermin Hulberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimiro Matthew in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, C.A. Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Parente to maneuver through the defense. Estrella Austral's Casimiro Matthew got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Casimiro Matthew left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estrella Austral fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Quilmes's zone, Severino Kiliz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fermin Hulberto came out of the goal and Severino Kiliz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximiliano Sayveon succeeded in the game's 41st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-5. Rownun McWill made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Parente in the 48th minute. In the 48th minute Maximiliano Sayveon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rownun McWill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Kiliz in the 51st minute of play forced C.A. Quilmes's goalkeeper Fermin Hulberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rownun McWill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Liberto in the 53rd minute of the match. Quilmes's Antonio Parente sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rownun McWill narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Fermin Hulberto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-8. Fermin Hulberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Kiliz in the 84th minute of play. Rownun McWill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Ibar, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The supporters of C.A. Quilmes booed when Estrella Austral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Volmer Jægenø didn't get a good kick on the ball. Estrella Austral's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
