Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kurt Cachia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kurt Cachia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Lino Costante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lino Costante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Benet in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Diego Maradona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Bibiano to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Ezequiel Benet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Diego Maradona's Kurt Cachia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Costante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diego Maradona's Augusto Batalla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Diego Maradona from getting a goal against them. If Severino Patrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cochinoca AFC's Leo Baldovino shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Augusto Batalla but with some difficulty. After some careless play in the Cochinoca AFC defense, Dave Casale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lino Costante. The Cochinoca AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lino Costante should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Cochinoca AFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Leo Baldovino hit a great ball. If Kurt Cachia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Benet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the game, Diego Maradona's Kurt Cachia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lino Costante made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 45th minute, Leopoldo Natanael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Diego Maradona were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severino Patrido to strike the kick off in the second half. Victorio Tiniebra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Diego Maradona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Cachia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ezequiel Benet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Lino Costante made a huge save. A collision led to Cochinoca AFC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Feliciano Primo hit a great ball. Diego Maradona's Fernando Cavenaghi got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ezequiel Benet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lino Costante having to make a save. Baldomiro Bibiano struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Lino Costante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diego Maradona. Feliciano Primo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Victorio Tiniebra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Augusto Batalla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Maradona's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
