The Santamarina F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melquiades Lauaxeta should have stopped the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Siro Ler in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Santamarina F.C's Orlando Hanni. Melquiades Lauaxeta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Sendoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Melquiades Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Rivero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ubaldo Erauso helped the player get up and apologised. Ubaldo Erauso kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Arnoldo Sendoa struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Melquiades Lauaxeta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Guardia Imperial.. Jorge Rivero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melquiades Lauaxeta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Sendoa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Melquiades Lauaxeta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joaquin Gutxi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Melquiades Lauaxeta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Rivero made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Arnoldo Sendoa could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Melquiades Lauaxeta however easily saved by the left post. In the 67th minute, Edgardo Berenguer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Santamarina F.C's zone, Arnoldo Sendoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Lauaxeta came out of the goal and Arnoldo Sendoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melquiades Lauaxeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Gutxi in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th minute of the match La Guardia Imperial. got a corner. Santamarina F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joaquin Gutxi ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Joaquin Gutxi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Melquiades Lauaxeta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Santamarina F.C getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Higinio Mateo hit a great ball. Melquiades Lauaxeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Rivero in the 92nd minute of play. Arnoldo Sendoa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Melquiades Lauaxeta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. La Guardia Imperial.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
