If Humberto Pirro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of River Plate:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Panacán:s goal. The referee gave Panacán a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lino Leizarraga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of River Plate's Americo Arotza. 2-1. 93 minutes into the game, Israel Gaztea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panacán the free kick. Israel Gaztea hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
