With a little luck, Panacán's Armando Jerrold got control of the ball when Carlos Clis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Clis got free with Armando Jerrold in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reynaldo Mark kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Feliciano Iraitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 29 minutes into the match, Emanuel Ralondo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Teofilio. ROMEYCATA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Ralondo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Carlos Clis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Armando Jerrold made a huge save. Carlos Clis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Panacán were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Ralondo was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Carlos Clis sped through Panacán's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Armando Jerrold. In the 56th minute, ROMEYCATA's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Feliciano Iraitz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Clis in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Jerrold saved Panacán from getting behind. Rosendo Sadurni scored 2-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armando Jerrold, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Armando Jerrold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Clis in the 65th minute of play. Javier Fresco charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Javier Fresco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Panacán's Javier Fresco got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, ROMEYCATA's Martin Gago seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Martin Gago the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ROMEYCATA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Martin Gago had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ROMEYCATA! The referee gave Panacán a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lino Leizarraga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ROMEYCATA's Gustavo Teofilio. 2-2. After 74 played minutes ROMEYCATA got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Virila. 75 minutes into the match, ROMEYCATA's goalkeeper Gustavo Teofilio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Feliciano Iraitz. When Eliseo Honesto fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panacán's protests and gave Eliseo Honesto a yellow card for diving instead. Eliseo Honesto kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Carlos Clis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 played minutes Panacán got a freekick which was hit by Siro Lohitzun. After 83 played minutes, ROMEYCATA's Carlos Clis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Armando Jerrold came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ROMEYCATA reached it. 85 minutes into the game, Quintino Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ROMEYCATA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panacán the free kick. In the 85th match minute, ROMEYCATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quintino Castro to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Gustavo Teofilio managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Panacán's Feliciano Iraitz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feliciano Iraitz got free with Gustavo Teofilio in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, Erasmo Cordearo made a precise shot to the right of Armando Jerrold. Panacán's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. When the referee ended the match the ROMEYCATA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
