The supporters of ROMEYCATA booed when Club Almirante Brown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Abascal didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, ROMEYCATA's Gustavo Teofilio got control of the ball when Guido Bautista tried to sneak it across the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, ROMEYCATA's Carlos Clis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isidoro Dolfos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Club Almirante Brown were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after ROMEYCATA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicanor Ceandro took the corner. Oscar Abascal was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Segio in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Teofilio saved ROMEYCATA from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Club Almirante Brown's Wilfredo Segio got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Guido Bautista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Club Almirante Brown's Gustavo Teofilio threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wilfredo Segio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Club Almirante Brown's Aldo Asier got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Rosendo Sadurni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Isidoro Dolfos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Tomás Etxepare was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Almirante Brown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ROMEYCATA the free kick. A collision led to Club Almirante Brown getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Tomás Etxepare hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Bautista got free with Gustavo Teofilio in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Clis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Isidoro Dolfos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guido Bautista in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Teofilio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Club Almirante Brown's Oscar Abascal got a free kick in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Club Almirante Brown's Guido Bautista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 64th match minute, Club Almirante Brown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Segio to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Teofilio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Bautista in the 69th minute of play. Wilfredo Segio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gustavo Teofilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Bautista in the 82nd minute of the match. Gustavo Teofilio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guido Bautista went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Bautista in the 85th minute of play forced ROMEYCATA's goalkeeper Gustavo Teofilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Teofilio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Segio, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Gustavo Teofilio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Segio in the 93rd minute of play. Gustavo Teofilio came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Almirante Brown's Wilfredo Segio. But to his dismay, Wilfredo Segio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Club Almirante Brown fans cheered their team off the field, for while ROMEYCATA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
