In the 6th minute, one of Papagayos AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Papagayos AFC. Tobias Cordeara had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Lucio Sengrat's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball 9 minutes into the match, Papagayos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Sengrat came free, but Tobias Cordeara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basilio Abascal kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 14 minutes, Clodoveo Amaya made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Atlantico FC's Segundo Sotero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clodoveo Amaya in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Segundo Sotero saved Atlantico FC from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Americo Bartolome kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tobias Cordeara. That made the score 1-1 in the 21 minute of play. Tobias Cordeara made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Lucio Sengrat sent off a good shot on target. After 30 minutes, Luis Paublo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Papagayos AFC and the Atlantico FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luis Paublo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. A collision led to Atlantico FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Evaristo Orlan hit a great ball. Papagayos AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Americo Bartolome scored to the left of an out of position Tobias Cordeara, making the score, 2-1. Papagayos AFC's Tobias Cordeara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Papagayos AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 41st match minute, Papagayos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Munio to maneuver through the defense. If Evaristo Orlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 played minutes Atlantico FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Ishmael. In the 46th minute Evaristo Orlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Cordeara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Cordeara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Americo Bartolome in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clodoveo Amaya made a kick off. In the 62nd minute Americo Bartolome shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Cordeara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clodoveo Amaya who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Segundo Sotero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 72nd minute Basilio Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Cordeara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Clodoveo Amaya lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Segundo Sotero. Luis Paublo struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Segundo Sotero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papagayos AFC. Tobias Cordeara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Orlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Atlantico FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Luis Paublo scored to the left of an out of position Segundo Sotero, making the score, 2-3. In the 90th minute Evaristo Orlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Cordeara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Papagayos AFC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Federico Munio hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Atlantico FC's Lucio Sengrat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tobias Cordeara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 95 minutes into the game, Lucio Sengrat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlantico FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Papagayos AFC the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Atlantico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Sengrat to maneuver through the defense. The Papagayos AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Papagayos AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
