With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pascual Erramun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30thth minute of the game Gustavo Dantel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Deportivo Rosamonte's Abelardo Alonso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Marcelo Salas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Abelardo Alonso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mario Leoncio charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
