The referee ignored Candelaria's protests and gave Marcial Isidor a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Candelaria's Rolando Hondo got a free kick in the 13th minute. Delmar Rencio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Natal in the 22nd minute. 张国凡 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Argi in the 24th minute of play. Vladimiro Baleren kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When David Israel Carmel came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Candelaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Israel Carmel couldn't finish the play.

If David Israel Carmel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 张国凡 came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Candelaria's David Israel Carmel. But to his dismay, David Israel Carmel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After having played for 58 minutes, David Israel Carmel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candelaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Israel Carmel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Delmar Rencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 鲁辉伟, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Bernal FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Candelaria:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Israel Carmel in the 70th minute of play forced Bernal FC's goalkeeper 张国凡 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gavino Astudillo hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Johannes de Jong was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Johannes de Jong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Isac Oniga made a precise shot to the right of 张国凡. Bernal FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. 85 minutes into the match, Freddy Argenis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delmar Rencio. Candelaria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Freddy Argenis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Candelaria's Delmar Rencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Duardo in the 89th minute of play. Johannes de Jong hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, Candelaria's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Argenis came free, but Delmar Rencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Candelaria could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bernal FC throughout the match.
