Leonel Gonzo scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isidro Lixandro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leonel Gonzo scored 1-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isidro Lixandro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Iguarán FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isidro Lixandro should have stopped the shot. In the 40th match minute, Iguarán FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Frâncu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Scotland 1873 booed when Iguarán FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dom Rowland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonel Gonzo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Guaberto Paez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Breno Bastos made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Pelayo in the 45th minute of play forced Iguarán FC's goalkeeper Isidro Lixandro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 49th minute of the match Leonel Gonzo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isidro Lixandro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonzalo Cordaro to make the kick off. Isidro Lixandro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ermegildo Leocadio in the 53rd minute. Lucio Amaya kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th match minute, Iguarán FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dom Rowland to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, Ermegildo Leocadio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the game, Ermegildo Leocadio lined in a short shot 1-5 behind a frustrated Isidro Lixandro. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Iguarán FC's goalkeeper Isidro Lixandro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonel Gonzo. 90 minutes into the match, Scotland 1873's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Checa came free, but Breno Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Iguarán FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Dom Rowland hit a great ball. Leonel Gonzo, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Iguarán FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Scotland 1873's performance. The match ended with a win for Scotland 1873.
