Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nereo Argina started the match with the kick off. When Nereo Argina came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the River fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Argina couldn't finish the play. After 11 minutes of play, River's Nereo Argina made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cordera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ramon Maria hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Leonel Club de Fútbol's zone, Nereo Argina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cordera came out of the goal and Nereo Argina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Cordera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Argina in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Nereo Argina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cordera. Leonel Club de Fútbol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nereo Argina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Marcos Cordera came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by River's Nereo Argina. But to his dismay, Nereo Argina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 30 minutes, Cornelio Henry mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River and the Leonel Club de Fútbol players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, River's Cornelio Henry got a free kick in the 30th minute. River's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adolfo Obeko in the 37th minute. River's Adolfo Obeko was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcos Cordera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 40 minutes into the game, River's Nereo Argina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cordera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 42nd minute, Gaetan Slaghmeulders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind River's goalkeeper Cosme Fernendo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Nereo Argina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cordera was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fábio Oliveira to make the kick off. Marcos Cordera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Sidoro kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, River's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Norino came free, but Cosme Fernendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramon Maria kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Marcos Cordera was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Nereo Argina capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nereo Argina really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. After some careless play in the River defense, Remigio Norino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cosme Fernendo. The River fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cosme Fernendo should have stopped the shot. Marcos Cordera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 minutes, Gaetan Slaghmeulders mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River and the Leonel Club de Fútbol players grew even worse after the yellow card.
