Mikael Wiman came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fidel Llorienzo could save by the left post. 14 minutes into the game, Fábio Quilempan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fidel Llorienzo. Fábio Quilempan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a little luck, Antinoco's Fidel Llorienzo got control of the ball when Quintana Roo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fidel Llorienzo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Antinoco's Fidel Llorienzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Antinoco from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Fábio Quilempan got a free kick in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Quintana Roo in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fidel Llorienzo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fidel Llorienzo was a little too slow when Mikael Wiman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 4-0. With an all-out effort, River Plate's Fidel Llorienzo threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Quintana Roo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fábio Quilempan to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Eloy Marko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, River Plate's goalkeeper Ezequiel Fidencio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Venancio Mattin. Fábio Quilempan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Llorienzo having to interfere. In the 94th minute Fábio Quilempan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Llorienzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. River Plate walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
