In the 10th minute Evaristo Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Herensuge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severo Herensuge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Bieito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Alonzo Brais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Castex defense, Victoriano Bieito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severo Herensuge. The Castex fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severo Herensuge should have stopped the shot. The Castex players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Westie FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alonzo Brais was the one to do the kick off. Severo Herensuge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özcan Sırat in the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Westie FC booed when Castex was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Uxio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Westie FC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Westie FC's Dimitris Moularas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dimitris Moularas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dimitris Moularass short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Severo Herensuge to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Esteve Calisto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonzo Brais, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 63 played minutes Castex got a freekick which was hit by Angel Navarro. 66 minutes into the game, Westie FC's Dimitris Moularas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severo Herensuge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Severo Herensuge made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Victoriano Bieito sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florencio Boniel during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Florencio Boniel kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Alonzo Brais was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 76th minute, Castex's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dimitris Moularas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 78th minute, Florencio Lesardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alonzo Brais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Westie FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Saturnino Berbiz hit a great ball. In the 88th minute Evaristo Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Herensuge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Castex's Severo Herensuge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Castex from getting a goal against them. Severo Herensuge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dimitris Moularas in the 96th minute. When the match was over Westie FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Castex throughout the match.
