The Sarmiento fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Marcos Udalaitz came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Sarmiento's Daniel Ulizes. But to his dismay, Daniel Ulizes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 24 minutes into the game, Sarmiento's David Theodore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Udalaitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 27 minutes into the game, Rosendo Olivar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Marcos Udalaitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th minute, Romeo Buinton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Siro Naelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonzo F.C.'s Marcos Udalaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Theodore in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Daniel Ulizes made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Udalaitz. Alfonzo F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Bernardo Pudes's late challenge caught a Alfonzo F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonzo F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Tomas Lizar scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Udalaitz, making the score, 0-8. David Theodore received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcos Udalaitz came out and tried to block the shot, but David Theodore slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 57th minute. Mateo Domingues's late challenge caught a Sarmiento's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Udalaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Olivar, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Sarmiento's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
