In the 5th match minute, Club Atl. River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Beti to maneuver through the defense. Elvio Vermudo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Froilan Garoa having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Romeo Atarratze took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Froilan Garoa to make any attempt to save it. Elvio Vermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Froilan Garoa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elvio Vermudo went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Elvio Vermudo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Elvio Vermudo could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Froilan Garoa however easily saved by the left post. Romeo Atarratze took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Froilan Garoa. Froilan Garoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Romeo Atarratze had several of the Club Atl. River Plate's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Froilan Garoa as he didn't even see the shot coming. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romeo Atarratze in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Froilan Garoa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elvio Vermudo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Froilan Garoa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Froilan Garoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Atarratze in the 35th minute of the match. Froilan Garoa was a little too slow when Romeo Atarratze got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 5-0. Elvio Vermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feliberto Llorienzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rolando Luke during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Royal Caribean Tropical G booed when Club Atl. River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Luke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Froilan Garoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Atarratze, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Casimiro Frechoso made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeo Atarratze in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Froilan Garoa saved Club Atl. River Plate from getting behind. Froilan Garoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Llorienzo in the 52nd minute of the match. Froilan Garoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Atarratze in the 54th minute of play. The Royal Caribean Tropical G fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Royal Caribean Tropical G's Romeo Atarratze looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Froilan Garoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Atarratze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Club Atl. River Plate defense, Romeo Atarratze kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Froilan Garoa. The Club Atl. River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Froilan Garoa should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atl. River Plate's zone, Elvio Vermudo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Froilan Garoa came out of the goal and Elvio Vermudo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Atl. River Plate's Froilan Garoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Atarratze in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute Romeo Atarratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Garoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atl. River Plate's Froilan Garoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Vermudo in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Elvio Vermudo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Froilan Garoa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Elvio Vermudo's late challenge caught a Club Atl. River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elvio Vermudo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Royal Caribean Tropical G's Elvio Vermudo got a free kick in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Atarratze in the 82nd minute of play forced Club Atl. River Plate's goalkeeper Froilan Garoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atl. River Plate's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gerardo Transito was slow to take the kick. During this time Royal Caribean Tropical G's players had a chance to rest. Froilan Garoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Vermudo in the 92nd minute of play. Romeo Atarratze scored 9-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Froilan Garoa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Royal Caribean Tropical G walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
