Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Delmar Cebrian kicked off to start the match. Cristo Quintana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wilfredo Illan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Ertaç Bilek skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Concepción's Cristo Quintana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Miro in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmar Cebrian in the 17th minute of play forced Estudiantes de La Plata's goalkeeper Ertaç Bilek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Joel Hitzeder sped through Concepción's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristo Quintana. If Roque Miro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Concepción's zone, Roque Miro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristo Quintana came out of the goal and Roque Miro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 28 minutes, Matias Eneko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Concepción and the Estudiantes de La Plata players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wilfredo Illan charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilfredo Illan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Concepción got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Illan. After 68 played minutes Estudiantes de La Plata got a freekick which was hit by Joel Hitzeder. The supporters of Concepción booed when Estudiantes de La Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Hitzeder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Estudiantes de La Plata's Ignacio Valente got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Estudiantes de La Plata's Roque Miro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cristo Quintana. Cristo Quintana yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. When the match was over Estudiantes de La Plata could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Concepción throughout the match.
