When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 1-7 when Aureliano Ederono sped through ferrocarriloeste's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicasio Markel. Danilo Tino hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Erubiel Florian took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jairo Lordi. Tumbaya 1966 FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aureliano Ederono recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aureliano Ederono succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-8 in the 92nd playminute. The ferrocarriloeste manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Tumbaya 1966 FC to win.
