The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Augusto Corderall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Morales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that D.J. Abel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Augusto Corderall quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 9 minutes into the match, La Naranja Mecánica's Gonzalo Morales sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Corderall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It was a well-played corner which Elvio Ereinotz managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Baradero's goalkeeper Augusto Corderall, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. La Naranja Mecánica's Rolando Hitzeder managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Verner Salling in the 22 minute of the game. The supporters of Club Atlético Baradero booed when La Naranja Mecánica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Hitzeder didn't get a good kick on the ball. If John-Graham Lake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when John-Graham Lake got free with Otto Smitt in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the match, La Naranja Mecánica's Gonzalo Morales sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Corderall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Gonzalo Morales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Corderall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes Club Atlético Baradero got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Bertran. Gonzalo Morales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when John-Graham Lake made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Gonzalo Morales managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Naranja Mecánica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzalo Morales was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, La Naranja Mecánica's Rolando Hitzeder got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Philip Høiby kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Augusto Corderall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzalo Morales's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Gonzalo Morales managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Naranja Mecánica's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzalo Morales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Corderall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute, Jorge Lander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Atlético Baradero's Augusto Corderall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Medardo in the 75th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, La Naranja Mecánica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Hitzeder to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Cristo Iraunkor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Atlético Baradero's Jorge Lander has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 91st minute.
