The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Sape FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Erramun to maneuver through the defense. Cuervos F.C.'s Pastor Rudolfo got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 12 minutes, Luis Cresconio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sape FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Cresconio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Sape FC booed when Cuervos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Maldini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eulalio Txindoki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Senen having to interfere. Samuel Bikendi charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samuel Bikendi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Samuel Bikendi kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to Sape FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. German Lucian hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Danilo Dominguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Cuervos F.C.'s Teo Columbo got a free kick in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Cuervos F.C.'s goalkeeper Domingos Jenaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Cresconio. 45 minutes into the game, Cuervos F.C.'s Leonardo Sabrosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvaro Senen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eulalio Txindoki to make the kick off. Alvaro Senen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Romagnoli in the 53rd minute. If Leonardo Sabrosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Sabrosa in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvaro Senen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sape FC's Alvaro Senen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Rudolfo in the 64th minute of play. In the 74th of the match, Teo Columbo tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Alvaro Senen got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sape FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Senen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Sabrosa in the 80th minute of play forced Sape FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Senen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Sape FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Menendo came free, but Alvaro Senen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sape FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Romagnoli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. German Lucian hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Sape FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cuervos F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Cuervos F.C..
