Florentino Bide didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Geronimo Caton came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Cosmos Urquiza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geronimo Caton couldn't finish the play. After having played for 10 minutes, Alfonso Etxatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valle 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Etxatxu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Feliberto Panfilo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Rigoberto Benino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Feliberto Viator hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the game, Benicio Indartsu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valle 's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cosmos Urquiza the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Valle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benicio Indartsu to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valle 's goalkeeper Rigoberto Benino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Honorato Velasco struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Rigoberto Benino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosmos Urquiza. In the 24th minute, Alfonso Etxatxu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manuel Macerio. The goal made the score 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Valle 's zone, Geronimo Caton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rigoberto Benino came out of the goal and Geronimo Caton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the game, Agustin Furman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valle 's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cosmos Urquiza the free kick. Agustin Furman hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Rigoberto Benino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Lohitzun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Etxatxu in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Macerio saved Cosmos Urquiza from getting behind. In the 56th minute, Cosmos Urquiza's Arnoldo Lohitzun ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rigoberto Benino. Rigoberto Benino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Geronimo Caton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cosmos Urquiza's supporters rose to their feet, but Geronimo Caton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rigoberto Benino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Geronimo Caton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rigoberto Benino was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Rigoberto Benino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto-Carlos Kakatsios went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Manuel Macerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Caitano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80thth minute of the game Feliberto Panfilo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valle 's Rigoberto Benino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rigoberto Benino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Lohitzun, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Cosmos Urquiza's Arnoldo Lohitzun got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Valle defense, Geronimo Caton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rigoberto Benino. The Valle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rigoberto Benino should have stopped the shot. Julian Balendin struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Rigoberto Benino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosmos Urquiza. 90 minutes into the game, Cosmos Urquiza's Geronimo Caton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rigoberto Benino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Roberto-Carlos Kakatsios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Macerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Furman, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the match was over Cosmos Urquiza could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Valle throughout the match.
