Eloy Mon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Viator in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gonzalo Chesus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eloy Mon was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, CJ Riquelme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

If Antonio Rik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 53 minutes, Gonzalo Chesus made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. VELEZ's Eloy Mon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. VELEZ's Eloy Mon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Chesus in the 56th minute of play. In the 61st minute, CJ Riquelme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Perros del sur fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. In the 77th minute, CJ Riquelme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 82 minutes VELEZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teodosio Goren who took care of the corner kick. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Eloy Mon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. CJ Riquelme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Perros del sur's Gonzalo Chesus in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VELEZ's goalie prevented a goal. Anacleto Tibalt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
