An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Dubardo in the 27th minute of play forced Ciudadela FC's goalkeeper Higinio Liberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eloy Cordarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mollecito FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciudadela FC the free kick. Isaias Mitxaut was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gonzalo Gonchan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 48 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodosio Ekaitz to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Eloy Cordarin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rosendo Macias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Teodosio Ekaitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ciudadela FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Justo Erlantz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Mitxaut having to interfere. In the 70th minute Damaso Pasqual shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Mitxaut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaias Mitxaut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Pasqual in the 91st minute of play. Gonzalo Gonchan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Isaias Mitxaut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mollecito FC booed when Ciudadela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Lordi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Ciudadela FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
