After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Anastasio Celio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cordoba Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Anastasio Celio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Higinio Liberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 5th minute Damaso Pasqual shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Rudolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Placido Rudolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Cordarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th match minute, Ciudadela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Pasqual to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Teodosio Ekaitz made a precise shot to the right of Placido Rudolfo. Cordoba Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Teodosio Ekaitz scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Placido Rudolfo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ciudadela FC's Higinio Liberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Ciudadela FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Pasqual in the 26th minute of play forced Cordoba Utd's goalkeeper Placido Rudolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Ciudadela FC's goalkeeper Higinio Liberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florencio Vasco. After some careless play in the Cordoba Utd defense, Damaso Pasqual kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Placido Rudolfo. The Cordoba Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Placido Rudolfo should have stopped the shot. In the 38th minute, Teodosio Ekaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Placido Rudolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Gonchan, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When Teobaldo Aragones fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ciudadela FC's protests and gave Teobaldo Aragones a yellow card for diving instead. Teobaldo Aragones hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Anastasio Celio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Cordoba Utd players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ciudadela FC were winning 0-3.
The wind increased when Teodosio Ekaitz made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Cordoba Utd's goalkeeper Placido Rudolfo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eloy Cordarin. With a little luck, Cordoba Utd's Placido Rudolfo got control of the ball when Damaso Pasqual tried to sneak it across the goal line. Placido Rudolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodosio Ekaitz in the 58th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Gonzalo Gonchan sped through Cordoba Utd's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Placido Rudolfo. In the 68th minute, Teodosio Ekaitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damaso Pasqual could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Placido Rudolfo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Ekaitz in the 73rd minute of play forced Cordoba Utd's goalkeeper Placido Rudolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damaso Pasqual got free with Placido Rudolfo in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Florencio Vasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Higinio Liberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Placido Rudolfo came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Ciudadela FC's Damaso Pasqual. But to his dismay, Damaso Pasqual quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Placido Rudolfo was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Teodosio Ekaitz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Teodosio Ekaitz really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Placido Rudolfo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damaso Pasqual in the 85th minute. Placido Rudolfo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eloy Cordarin went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Damaso Pasqual could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Placido Rudolfo however easily saved by the left post. Cordoba Utd's Placido Rudolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Ekaitz in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Damaso Pasqual made a precise shot to the right of Placido Rudolfo. Cordoba Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8.
