Abel Lizardi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Messi in the 33rd minute of the match. Abel Lizardi was a little too slow when Cristiano Messi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in SyW Australia's zone, Vicente Vitin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Lizardi came out of the goal and Vicente Vitin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the game, Cristiano Messi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Abel Lizardi. Cristiano Messi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Abel Lizardi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Messi in the 43rd minute of play. Abel Lizardi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Piarres, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Vicente Vitin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Abel Lizardi made a huge save.

In the 56th minute Cristiano Messi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Lizardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
