Mateo Cutberto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Silvano Lohitzun came out and tried to block the shot, but Mateo Cutberto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Marquez in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kazimierz Drugi saved MegaDeth from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Marquez in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kazimierz Drugi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A.A FÊNIX's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bernardo Dantae in the 20th minute. Bernardo Dantae made a great header on A.A FÊNIX's corner, it was just that MegaDeth's Kazimierz Drugi managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the MegaDeth defense, Mario Marquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kazimierz Drugi. The MegaDeth fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kazimierz Drugi should have stopped the shot. The supporters of MegaDeth booed when A.A FÊNIX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Castulo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Cristo Beti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The crowd rose to their feet as Miguel Xuereb kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Silvano Lohitzun. That made the score 2-2 in the 29 minute of play. In the 32nd minute, MegaDeth's Cipriano Lorien ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Silvano Lohitzun. Silvano Lohitzun yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Kazimierz Drugi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Marquez in the 37th minute of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Mario Marquez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MegaDeth's Kazimierz Drugi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by MegaDeth's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bernardo Dantae was slow to take the kick. During this time A.A FÊNIX's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to A.A FÊNIX's Kauã Arruda getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 42 played minutes MegaDeth got a freekick which was hit by Jurand Charlap.

The wind increased when Miguel Xuereb made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of A.A FÊNIX booed when MegaDeth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Xuereb didn't get a good kick on the ball. 52 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when A.A FÊNIX's Mario Marquez fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. Mario Marquezs short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Kazimierz Drugi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, MegaDeth's Kazimierz Drugi got control of the ball when Elvio Fanuco tried to sneak it across the goal line. But to his dismay, Cipriano Lorien quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. MegaDeth's Kazimierz Drugi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save MegaDeth from getting a goal against them. Mateo Cutberto hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. A.A FÊNIX's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
