Severo Firman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Caradaro in the 34th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Everardo Medero got free with Severo Firman in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the match, River Plate's goalkeeper Severo Firman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Everardo Medero. 39 minutes into the game, Ulysses Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
