Remigio Sanduru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Shantala, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute of the match Ramblón got a corner. Azul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The corner led Ramblón's Hernan Shantala to fire away a dangerous shot which Remigio Sanduru despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Remigio Sanduru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Shantala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 10 minutes of play, Azul's Reynaldo Garikoitz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Timoteo Baumer was left in no man's land by his defense there! 14 minutes into the match, Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Shantala came free, but Remigio Sanduru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Azul's Remigio Sanduru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloy Mercurio in the 15th minute of play. Remigio Sanduru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Shantala in the 16th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Hernan Shantala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remigio Sanduru. Azul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernan Shantala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cecilio Gentza in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigio Sanduru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Azul's Remigio Sanduru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Shantala in the 29th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Ramblón's goalkeeper Timoteo Baumer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Garikoitz. Timoteo Baumer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Isidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Remigio Sanduru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Gentza in the 35th minute of play. Remigio Sanduru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernan Shantala in the 38th minute of the match. In the 46th minute Cecilio Gentza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Sanduru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 48 minutes of play, Ramblón's Eloy Mercurio made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remigio Sanduru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reynaldo Garikoitz to strike the kick off in the second half. Cecilio Gentza scored 1-3 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remigio Sanduru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th match minute, Ramblón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Gentza to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Gentza came free, but Remigio Sanduru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 64 in the game by Cecilio Gentza from a close distance when the talented Remigio Sanduru managed to make a qualified save. Azul's players were relieved. The referee felt a red card was in order, 68 minutes into the game, when Gustavo Johans put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Ramblón getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Gustavo Johans hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ramblón's zone, Teodosio Dayam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timoteo Baumer came out of the goal and Teodosio Dayam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cecilio Gentza came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Ramblón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cecilio Gentza couldn't finish the play. If Eloy Mercurio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Azul booed when Ramblón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Gonza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Garikoitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timoteo Baumer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Teodosio Dayam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Timoteo Baumer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eloy Mercurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 played minutes Ramblón got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Mercurio. With a little luck, Azul's Remigio Sanduru got control of the ball when Cecilio Gentza tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cecilio Gentza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramblón played a much better game than Azul and deserved their victory. The Azul players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
