When Carolo Cugat fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Azul's protests and gave Carolo Cugat a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Azul's Carolo Cugat got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 4 minutes into the game, Leopardi's Israel Perfecto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remigio Sanduru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Remigio Sanduru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Johnsson in the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Gérard Le Saux reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Remigio Sanduru. The goal made the score 2-0. Ged Lavericks short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Remigio Sanduru to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 13 minutes into the match, Leopardi's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Dayam came free, but Gerardo Celipe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Johnsson came free, but Remigio Sanduru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 minutes, Isidro Nevada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Azul and the Leopardi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Azul's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Ged Laverick scored to the left of an out of position Remigio Sanduru, making the score, 3-0. Remigio Sanduru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ged Laverick in the 19th minute. A hard shot 25 in the game by Israel Perfecto from a close distance when the talented Remigio Sanduru managed to make a qualified save. Azul's players were relieved. Remigio Sanduru was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gérard Le Saux showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 30 minute of play. Ged Laverick blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Remigio Sanduru having to make a save. When Teodosio Dayam came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Azul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodosio Dayam couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Ged Laverick came free, but Remigio Sanduru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Israel Perfecto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remigio Sanduru was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. 42 minutes in the game, Ged Laverick fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Remigio Sanduru having to interfere. Antoni Borkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Sanduru having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Leopardi's Gérard Le Saux sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remigio Sanduru narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

54 minutes into the match, Ged Laverick notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Azul's Remigio Sanduru. Remigio Sanduru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 57 minutes into the game, Israel Perfecto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Remigio Sanduru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Azul's Remigio Sanduru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Perfecto in the 62nd minute of play. Israel Perfecto took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remigio Sanduru. Remigio Sanduru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. Ged Laverick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Sanduru having to interfere. Israel Perfecto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigio Sanduru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Ulises Harkaitz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Leopardi's Faustino Naldo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Leopardi booed when Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Mateus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ged Laverick in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigio Sanduru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Leopardi's Israel Perfecto got a free kick in the 80th minute. Remigio Sanduru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Perfecto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Ged Laverick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
