The Azul fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Azul's Reynaldo Garikoitz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Emanuel Venceslas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Remigio Sanduru made a huge save. In the 27th minute, Reynaldo Garikoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Rouvière's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Garikoitz came free, but Angelino Reynardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Reynaldo Garikoitz came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Azul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Garikoitz couldn't finish the play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Casimiro Birila was the one to do the kick off. Remigio Sanduru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Venceslas in the 52nd minute of play. Angelino Reynardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodosio Dayam in the 55th minute of the match. Angelino Reynardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Isidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Remigio Sanduru came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Rouvière's Casimiro Birila. But to his dismay, Casimiro Birila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 70th minute, Casimiro Birila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Birila in the 72nd minute of play forced Azul's goalkeeper Remigio Sanduru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
